Officers Reports

B&B: have received a number of responses re the Lochac issue (nothing
from the College officers yet). Lots of stuff in from Kingdom, including
letters from the Crown and awards. The Kingdom award recommendation file
has gone missing, so please re-send any recommendations (esp. via email).
Went to College council meeting this month, held 2 courts.

Seneschal: We are having problems with the mailbox, and it will probably
not be available much longer. Do we want to pay $120 a year for our own,
considering the very little mail that comes through. Lughaid offers
his., and we gratefully accept his offer. Ulf is to update FTT and
newsletters we receive with the new number PO BOX 2687, Christchurch.
Talked to Kingdoms seneschal and sent letter to Lochac Prince and
Princess and seneschal with regard to whether Lochac are interested in us
joining them. P&P passed letter onto new P&P, no response yet. Talking
to Darchester, helping them sort out details for their event.

Lists: has resigned, files and pavilion returned. Looking for a new
lists officer.

Chronicler: Emails re missing subscriptions. Received nominations for
best newsletter (layout?) competition, will know results in September.
$30 in, stamps out, need cheque for stamps. Current issue out this week.

Herald: Nothing to report. Baronial awards need to be finalised.

Everyone to come to next meeting with an idea, esp. need a golden tower
design for a medallion.

Marshal: Chasing up loaner armour with newcomers. Sold one handbook and
purchased rattan. Holding a marshals class at Collegium. Going to
Darchester, will be doing marshaling there, authorizations and a class.

Constable: New kingdom constable, so had to renew warrant. Looked at
portable door bells but $32, so we don't want it. Have a brown jug and
cups from Yule. Looking for plastic box for lost and found stuff.

Chatelaine: Draft copies of brochure for perusal, Lantern out to
newcomers and for Darchester. Replies in from Kingdom, stuff is in the
post. 3 events in the last month. Looking at posting notes on newcomers
achievements in the newsletters. Ragnar donated some garb and stuff.

Exchequer: Gen a/c $5565.25. Travel fund cheque to be sent by the B&B.

Money for Xmas revel finally in! Savings account to be opened, forms
circulated to be signed by current signatories.

Quartemaster: Stuff went out and came back in record time, yet to be
inspected. Need napisan and washing powder. Ethelind will organize this
and get reimbursement. Ethelind to purchase another 10 candles since we
are out.

Captain of Archers: Now official. The barony has brought $70 archery
gear from Jarnulfr. A list is to be emailed to Ethelind to be kept with
the quartermasters stuff. Archery stuff will be stored at Miles (Dillon
Burkes) locked shed. Contacted Kirkwood Intermediate, no plans for a
demo yet. Contacted Richard in Darchester and directed him to the Caidan
Archery page. Investigating sources of new equipment. Lots of people
are turning up to the Sunday practices, and the gear is getting used.
Authorizing archers, Tim Allen to be a RIT. Suggest trialling combat
archery at Sunday practices to get people encouraged into it.

Chirurgeon: happily nothing to report

Reannag Fhara: Lots of events. Thank you for the photo album, hope to
add to that. In process of acquiring a deputy A&S officer, 2 people
organise it, planning went well. Not much interest at Clubs Day. Ice
skating 9 or 10 people interested. Anniversary and Celtic Games went
well and everyone enjoyed it. Mid winter this weekend please see Aliena
after the meeting. Spring Tourney on 3 September, St Judes 10 November
at Rimu Park.
