* Baron and Baroness: Report given:
  email to TRMs re: awards announced on the field: no reply yet.
Will resend to new TRM.
  Sent parcel with tabard and scrolls to Ildhavn.
* Seneschal: Report given.
 In: Apologies from Amie and Bastian
 Newsletters in.
* Herald: Report given.
  Out: Baronial awards petition to Crescent Principle
  Problems with Canterbury cross submission - can't use cross and
name: presumptuous.
* Marshal: Report given.
 Callum has passed marshal's test
 Experimentation with road signs for shields: poss group purchase
of aluminium shields
 Sent 1/4ly report.
 Marshals' annual reports due
* Arts and Sciences: Absent: In UK
  Still undecided what to do with group entries for Arts Champion
in performance category. Give all the same points with judges
discretion to + or - to individuals? Ideas to be sent to Bns E
and decision to be made later -  poss informal get together.
* Exchequer: Report given.
  Balance:      $2780.58
  FTT Balance:$596.45
  Query as to signatories on accounts: Want 3 on both. Any two to
sign. Callum, Ulf and Richard. Richard to organise signatories
forms. Richard to be invested as Exchequer at Yule Feast.
* Chatelaine: Absent: No report
  Bns E has had demo request for Cracroft Brownies they want
dance and games for 90 8&9 year olds. THL Cristia offered to run:
other volunteers.
* Lists: Report given.
 Nothing to report.
 Received lists pavilion: may want money for poles, ropes etc.
* Chronicler: Report given.
 In: 1 subscriptions
 PRs to send to US with FTT
 Letter from medieval Times in Sanson re newsletter swap.
 Out: $5.50 postage for overseas subs.
 Business: Edward writing chronicler's section for Stewards Hdbk.
 Bill in for $38.76.
* Constable: Report given
  email to chronicler
  Begun 1/2 year report.
* Minister for Children: Absent: Report given.
  Spent $5.55 on ribbon: will submit receipt next month: making
tokens
  cooking feast for children
* Chirugeon (Acting). Absent: Report given.
* Captain of Archers (Acting): Report given.
 Working on membership: no other activities.

Steward's Reports
* Family Feast: Steward absent.
  Will drop money in to Ayfra? Maybe that should be Richard?
  Very successful event.
* Caid Anniversary Revel: Steward is L Lughaid: all going to
plan.
* Midwinter/Yule: June 21st. Steward is L Ayeshah.
  Some monies in $120
  Hall is booked and aid for
  Getting two goats from Jarnulfr's father for $20 each.
* The Ball: July 26th. Steward is L Angharad with Alexandra.
  Site confirmed: everything going to plan.
  Master Dell will be returning.
* Need stewards for Spring events.
* Canterbury Faire IV. Feb 1998.
 Advertising has gone out.
 Site has been booked at old price - however work being done on
site may result in increases in the future.
 Pavilion costing $410 + GST
 Bus costing $3-400.

New Event Proposals
* Collegium. Proposal made be M Rowena.
 12-13 Sept, St Ninian's Church hall $140. Sat 10 - 6 and pot
luck, Sun 12 - 6.
 $2.50 per 1/2 day or $6 for the event. Includes morning and
afternoon tea.  Barony not too concerned with profit/loss on
Collegium.
 Proposal accepted.
 Needs stewards pack - forms etc
 Full budget to be presented next month.
* Beltane: Rachel has withdrawn proposal. Sen must re-advertise
for proposals. Bids to close at August council.

General Business
* Event Calender: June: 6th Caid Anniversary Revel. Lughaid
   20th Yule Feast. L Ayeshah steward.
   July: 18th, Ball. Angharad.
   August: 1st, College Anniversary: First SG Arts Champ
Competitions
   September: 12th - 13th. Collegium. M Rowena.
   October: 3rd, Spring Tourney (College),
    31st, Beltane, Need steward. Bids close August?
   November: Show Weekend, 13th -15th, St Jude's Fair (College)
   December: 5th or 6th , Christmas Revel. Need steward. Bids
September?
   January 1999: 9th and or 10th , 12th Night. Need steward. Bids
Setember? 2nd SG Art Champion Competitions
   February 1999: 4th to 8th, Canterbury Faire. THL Sebastian et
al.
   March 1999: Anniversary. Bids close? 3rd SG Arts Champ
Competitions
* Advances: in past advances were counted as income and
expenditure from the event. However now are not to be included in
this way: Richard will re-write forms to make this explicit.
* Need new minute book - preferably spiral bound and hard cover
* Idea to institute policy book to be run by seneschal to keep
track of policies
* Rowena suggests Vintage car site as poss new campsite: Sigurd
to make enquiries at work.
